[2024 Fall Undergraduate] Freshmen Admission Guide

※ Updates

 ○ Application period has been extended

 ○ Department in charge has been changed to Office of International Student Services, International affairs

 ○ Qualification for Korean Language Proficiency in Korean track has been changed

  - Specifing the possible applications for those who do not have a Korean proficiency certificate(TOPIK, etc.) (related to the preliminary admission)

  - Accepting the submission of certificates and transcripts for completion of Korean language courses at other Korean language institutes at Korean universities as qualification

 ○ Information regarding reapplication of candidates with preliminary admission offer and related additional documents to be submitted has been added

 ○ Korean track A & B have been integrated into Korean Track(with one choice for admission unit)

1. Major Changes 

  1) We do not recruit "School of Convergence (Global Convergence)"

  2) Additional methods of proving Korean language proficiency (implemented from the second round of 2024 Spring)

    - Graduation (expected) who have completed the entire course (high school 1st to 3rd grade, Grade 10-12) at a high school located in Korea are exempted from submitting TOPIK

    - Accepting the submission of certificates and transcripts for completion of Korean language courses at other Korean language institutes at Korean universities as well as Sungkyun Language Institute as qualification

  3) Preliminary Admission offer

    - if you are a Korean track applicant who has failed to meet the requirements regarding Korean language proficiency, you may have the option to be provided with 'preliminary admission offer' with excellent results of document evaluation in other fields excluding Korean language proficiency

    - When candidate with 'Preliminary admission offer' re-applies to the SAME admission unit after acquiring TOPIK(Includes TOPIK IBT) level 4 or above or completing Korean course of level 4 or above at Sungkyun Language Institute within two years, he/she shall be offered an unconditional offer to the next available intake.

     ※ If the candidate reapply for majors or admission units that varies from his/her Preliminary admission offer, the offer would be canceled automatically

    - In case of preliminary admission, the documents(regarding nationality document, family relationship certificate, language proficiency document, etc.),excluding academic background documents and other activities evidences, must be resubmitted as of the time of reapplication.

2. Admission Schedule  

※ Only successful applicants of our university submit the bank balance certificate according to our university guidance.
