[2025 Fall Undergrad.] Freshmen Admission Guide

[2025 Fall Undergraduate] Freshmen Admission Guide  1. Updates(as of Feb. 10th, 2025)  ○ Linguistic ability for Korean Track newly added    - Submission of Original copy of Korean language course completion certificate from King Sejong Institute(excluding online course completion)  ○ Expansion of the Scholarship for Excellent Korean Language Professionals    - Increase in the scholarship amount (from 50%, 30% to 100%, 50%)    - New establishment of 50% tuition waiver(1st semester) for those who achieve TOPIK Level 5  ○ New establishment of Scholarship for Excellent English Language Professionals    - 100% tuition waiver(1st semester) for those who achieve IELTS 8.0 / TOEFL iBT 110 or higher    - 50% tuition waiver(1st semester) for those who achieve IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL iBT 95 or higher    ※ excluding the successful candidates of Global characterized departments(Global Business Administration, Global Economics, and Global Biomedical Engineering)  ○ New establishment of SKKU Global Leader Scholarship     - For remarkable freshmen of Global characterized departments(Global Business Administration, Global Economics, and Global Biomedical Engineering) based on the admission results    ※ The global characterized departments are available only for the Spring intake ※ Refer to the attached addmission guide for more details  2. Notes for Korean Track   1) Additional methods of proving Korean language proficiency     - Accepting the submission of certificates and transcripts for completion of Korean language courses at other Korean language institutes at Korean universities as well as Sungkyun Language Institute(SLI) as qualification    - Graduation (expected) who have completed the entire course (high school 1st to 3rd grade, Grade 10-12) at a high school located in Korea are exempted from submitting TOPIK     - Accepting the submission of original copy of Korean language course completion certificate from King Sejong Institute(excluding online course completion)   2) Preliminary Admission offer    - if you are a Korean track applicant who has failed to meet the requirements regarding Korean language proficiency, you may have the option to be provided with 'preliminary admission offer' with excellent results of document evaluation in other fields excluding Korean language proficiency    - When candidate with 'Preliminary admission offer' re-applies to the SAME admission unit after acquiring TOPIK(Includes TOPIK IBT) level 4 or above or completing Korean course of level 4 or above at Sungkyun Language Institute within two years, he/she shall be offered an unconditional offer to the next available intake.      ※ If the candidate reapply for majors or admission units that varies from his/her Preliminary admission offer, the offer would be canceled automatically    - In case of preliminary admission, the documents(regarding nationality document, family relationship certificate, language proficiency document, etc.), excluding academic background documents and other activities evidences, must be resubmitted as of the time of reapplication.  3. Admission Schedule ※ Only successful applicants of our university submit the bank balance certificate according to our university guidance.

 Application for Admission Withdrawal & Request for Refund, Fall 2025 Here are the instructions on how to withdraw admission and return tuition fees for fall 2025  ▣ How to apply  - Submit application form of "Admission Withdrawal.Request for Refund" with additional required documents(scanned) via e-mail ▣ Application period: ~ Aug. 14th(Thu) 17:00(KST)▣ Required documents - Application form of admission withdrawal & request for refund  ※ Please download the form attached to this notice and print, fill out, and sign with your own handwriting  ※ Fill out and submit either the Korean or English version(attached) only - Additional documents(according to case A or B below)  A) Tuition Refund to an account under the applicant's own name   · A color copy of applicant's ID (Foreigner Registration Card or Passport)   B) Tuition Refund to an account under the name of applicant's parents   · A color copy of applicant's ID (Foreigner Registration Card or Passport)   · A color copy of the depositor's ID (Foreigner Registration Card or Passport)   · A color copy of the family relationship certificate stating the relationship between the applicant and the depositor(one of the parents)     ※ If you do not have an alien registration card or passport, you can submit a copy of a translated and notarized local ID card  ※ Alien registration card: the back of the registration card with the expiration date marked is also required   ※ It will be impossible to refund the tuition, unless the bank account is the applicant's own account or the parent's account   ※ Please use the PDF form provided by SKKU(do not edit)     (If the paragraph spacing, table size, etc. are different from the original, we can ask you to resubmit)   ※ Handwritten signatures of both the applicant and parents are required  ※ The tuition refund will be processed within 10 business days from the date of request ▣ Submission: Office of International Student Services fore@skku.edu  ※ E-mail title setting: (application number)/(Korean name)/(admission unit)/Admission withdrawal & request for refund   (e.g. A1234567890/김성균/Humanities/Admission withdrawal & request for refund)▣ Inquiries: Office of International Student Services +82-2-760-0016 / fore@skku.edu

Undergraduate Freshman Admissions, 2025 Fall (1st Round) ※ Please make sure to check the attachment "Admitted International Student Guide_2025 Fall_1st".  1) Result announcement period: ~ May 23rd (Fri), 20252) Invoice print out: from April 30th (Wed), 20253) Enrollment(tuition payment): May 07th (Wed), 10:00 ~ May 23rd (Fri), 16:00, 2025 (KST) 4) If you are admitted as a high school prospective graduate, you must receive a new graduation certificate and transcript issued after the graduation date and submit it (by mail or visiting) to the Office of International Student Services.  ▶ Click Here for Successful Candidate Announcement​    **Notice**- If you are a recipient of the admission scholarship, you can print out the admission scholarship certificate.  - For ‘Candidate with preliminary admission offer’, a Korean language course will be offered at Sungkyun Language Institute to help meet the requirements for Korean proficiency.
