Student residing in Korea must obtain D-2 visa before the semester begins, otherwise the student will be fined
Application Period

Spring intake: Jul. – Aug.

Fall intake: Jan. – Feb.

Application Process

Application is available only through the GLS system
(SKKU KINGO ID login > GLS > Application/Graduation > CoA Issuance Apply)

  • - All documents should be scanned in A4 size, in color, PDF. file.
  • - Financial statement and graduation certificate should be submitted in original via postal or in person after the scanned files are uploaded

Certificate will be issued in order of application, and the issued certificate can be downloaded on GLS (issuance take 7-10 days from application)

Certificate of Financial Statement: original document submission required after upload of the scanned file

  • - Certificate must be issued within 30 days of the CoA application date
  • - Issuance of 2 original copies required: 1 for Korean embassy, and 1 for SKKU
  • - Student extending visa in Korea: certificate of personal account issued by Korean bank is required
  • - Family relationship certificate should be uploaded on GLS when submitting parent’s financial statement (scanned file)

Graduation Certificate: original document submission required after upload of the scanned file

  • ※ Please scan the document including the pages with apostille or embassy legalization
  • - Certificate of expected graduation, provisional certificate: not acceptable
  • - Graduate from university in China: ONLINE VERIFICATION REPORT OF HIGHER EDUCATION DEGREE CERTIFICATE

Course Registration

National Health Insurance (NHIS)
  • All international students will be registered to the mandatory Korean National Health Insurance Services (NHIS) by the national regulation starting March 2021.
  • NHIS can only be registered after the alien registration is completed.

※ Students are strongly advised to purchase private insurance such as travel insurance for the period between the arrival in Korea and completion of alien registration (approximately 3 months)
