How to Apply
  • Online Application (application documents should be scanned then uploaded)
    ※ Document submission via postal may be requested if needed (email submission is not acceptable)

Application Eligibility
1. Nationality (one of the following requirements)
  • Applicant with foreign citizenship whose parents also hold foreign citizenships
  • Applicant including overseas Korean who completed the entire education outside Korea (elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate/graduate level)
    ※ If you meet both requirements ① and ② above, please apply through ① and submit the required documents
  • North Korean refugees with a “North Korean Refugee Registration Certificate”
2. Degree
  • Applicant for Master’s / Combined Master’s & Ph. D.
    • - Bachelor’s degree holder or expected graduate to be conferred with a Bachelor’s degree
    • - Applicant with academic qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
  • Applicant for Ph. D.
    • - Master’s degree holder or expected graduate to be conferred with a Master’s degree
    • - Applicant with academic qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree
  • Applicant with degrees from overseas universities
    • - the university should be confirmed through “International Association of Universities’ Worldwide Database of Higher Education Institutions, Systems and Credentials (IAU WHED)” in collaboration with UNESCO. If the university is not listed, or its English name is not identical with the one on the list, a certificate issued by a Korean embassy should be submitted confirming that the university is accredited by the government.   • Korean Proficiency Required Departments

  • English Proficiency Required Departments : submission of one of the certificates below

    ※ Additional English test scores may be requested by the Korean embassy (consular) when applying for visa

    • - Official English test score of TOEFL IBT 71, IELTS 5.5 or above (score should be valid within 2 years at the time of application)
      ※ Please refer to the detailed requirement of each department
    • - “[Form 6] Certificate of English Proficiency” signed by the dean of the department
    • - Document proving that the applicant completed higher education in English
